$GARI Introduced by Bollywood Megastar, Salman Khan
Chingari, a micro-content, and short video app launch its first crypto-token, '$GARI' in India's history, revealed by the megastar Salman Khan at a public event held in Mumbai. He also announced being the brand ambassador for the app's NFT marketplace and token reward program. With the introduction of $GARI, the app's content creators can build their own e-commerce, including NFT development, physical merchandise, and assist the user in funding their favorite artists.
Partnership with the Solana Blockchain
Currently, the app provides customer-tailored videos, a comprehensive song library, content in around 2 languages - having 50M active users and 85Mn downloads, and hyper-realistic AR filters have become India's 1st social platform to offer crypto tokens. The $GARI will be built in alliance with the public blockchain platform - Solana. The COO of the medium - Raj Gokal, said the Solana's collective ownership, like the app, can entirely defeat the global developer-platform relation and give rise to a new-flanged developer monetization prototype. The co-founder of the app - Sumit Ghosh, said, "Chingari's blockchain platform will allow users to obtain tokens for creating or watching content. The idea is to monetize creators' talent and empower them via a social platform."
Thanks to the invention of the crypto token, the app gives the decision-making power back to the users, allowing people to get tickets either to watch or create content, followed by permitting content monetization to be the mainstream in the country. The central ideology behind this token invention is to monetize the developer's talent and authorize them through the social platform. This token will be a pioneering development for India's creator and digital economy. Chingari has raised around $19Mn from huge companies like Solana Capital, LD Capital, CSP DAO, Alameda Research, Kraken, etc.
