Sony WF-1000XM4 true wireless stereo (TWS) earphones are expected to launch this year, & various leaks have thrown light on what to expect. The Japanese electronics firm's latest truly wireless earphones are expected to be the most elite & facet-rich yet, & a leaked novel promo video unveils aspects & specifications expected with the novel earphones.
Besides access to Google Assistant & active noise cancellation, which were present on the model WF-1000XM3, the Sony WF-1000XM4 will have novel facets & revamped designs such as speak-to-chat & wireless charging, according to the promotional video. The video was uploaded on a YouTube channel of Sparrows News, which previously has leaked promo videos of Sony audio products, including that of the over-ear headphone - the Sony WH-100XM4. The video indicates several leaks that have already shown the WF-1000XM4 earphone's design, also unveiling some of the aspects & properties.
It confirms vital facets, including speak-to-chat, active noise cancellation & wireless charging on the model. The Sony WF-1000XM4 is expected to receive some significant changes in design from the WF-1000XM3, which were launched last year in India for Rs. 19,999. The novel in-earphones are smaller in size but retain the critical potentials, facets & even add a few novel ones.
Features Observed in the Leaked Promo Video
Wireless charging was a popular feature commonly visible on elite TWS headsets & the speak-to-chat facet was introduced with the Sony WH-1000XM4 in late 2020. This feature pauses the music & turns on the transparency mode on the in-ear phones automatically when the user's voice is heard by the earphone. Other notable features shown in the promo video are a novel Sony V1 integrated processor that replaces the QN1eprocessor on the WF-1000XM3 model, IPX4 water resistance, adaptive sound controls.
The video describes 8 hours of battery span with automatic noise canceling enabled & 12 hours without, with a total of 24 hours of battery span added by the charging case. The novel driver units for the wireless earbuds promise an upgrade audio experience: LDAC streaming, 360 Reality Audio, Hi-Res Audio & DSEE Extreme are all described in the video, an elite list that will appeal to audiophiles.
As for the design, the aesthetics have been tweaked from the WF-1000XM3 model, which looks like we are in line for a more bulbous & compact bud shape with short stems connected to the earbuds & some vibrant gold highlights. The Sony WF-1000XM4 will go up against the robust competition in the elite actual wireless segment, including the aging and capable Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro, the Jabra Elite 85t & Apple Air-Pods Pro.
Sony could go with exact pricing for the WF-1000MX3 model of over Rs. 20,000 in India, to challenge Jabra & Samsung that are priced under Rs. 20,000. The additional features & properties of the Sony WF-1000XM4 will be revealed on June 8.
